Broadband Media Launch
On Thursday, 30 June 2011, Henderson Valley School was privileged to host the media launch of the Rural Broadband Initiative. Our school was the first to be connected to ultra-fast broadband under this scheme. The guest of honour was the Minister of Communication and I.T., Steven Joyce. Other distinguished guests included Paula Bennett (MP), Mark Ratcliffe (Chorus CEO) and Karen Sewell (Secretary for Education).
Steven Joyce joined with four of our students, Jade, Shayna, Shasta and Jayden in an on-line astronomy lesson with two other schools.
