Game 2 and 3.
The Volcanoes have turned up the heat! We are all playing heaps better.
With a draw 2-2 in the first game of the day and a WIN 3-1 in the second game. It's been a great weekend.
Finlay has had a great day and is our player of the day for this weekend.
Week 3
Another great week on the turf. Everyone is getting better with every game! Zeb has been a star on the field. Finlay, Thomas and Kaleb are hitting the ball really hard. Madeline and Emilion are running like Tornadoes and Bell and Naimeta are getting in to hit the ball away from the other team!
Our player of the day this weekend was Kaleb, with hard hitting and great passing to the others. Great stuff Kaleb!
Week 4
With only one game this Saturday. The Volcanoes were up against some very tough competition. The Western Wiggles are a club team that have been together for a full year already.
It was a very difficult game and we missed having the full team there. But hope that Zeb and Te Kareti are going to be feeling better for the next game.
Lucky for us Isabella and Madeline were ON FIRE!! Madeline worked really hard to get the ball and fought to get a goal past her old friend Pepper! Earning Madeline the Player of the Day!
All the supporters were so happy to see Naimita and Isabella fighting for the ball. The boys did some great running and hitting too.
We lost 3-1 this time. But I think we can beat them next time!

Week 5
Two tough games in the wind and rain. We didn't quite manage a win against the first team, going down 2 -1. But managed to come back against the Western Wiggles (who beat us last time!) and get a fantastic draw 2 - 2!
Everyone played fantastically with Zeb being chosen as the player of the day.
Thanks to Yvette and Daniel for taking over the coaching on the day, very sorry to miss the day - looking forward to the next game!
Week 6
We had two hard games this weekend. The first we had a 2-0 loss and then had to play against a very good ASIC team. We went down 5-0 but had some good moments in the game. Thomas played great the whole game and Maddy did some excellent chasing of the ball. Bell and Naimita did some good hits in too!
With more practice we'll be ready for a great game next week.
Emilion was the player of the day. He did some great running and after getting hit on the chin, came back to keep playing! Great stuff Emilion!
Week 7
We had two FANTASTIC games!!
Game 1 - Everyone played like tornadoes on the field. We were one goal down to start with, but came back to win 2-1. Awesome work!
Games 2 was the Western Wiggles again. A tough team, but we were up to the challenge. Maddie led the charge with Thomas stopping the goals. Bell and Naimita were running hard and getting the ball and FInlay and Zeb and Emilion were attacking with everything they had! Finlay getting the winning goal in the last minutes!
Our player of the day was the fantastic Naimita - great running, she just keeps getting better and better! Great work.
Week 8
Another tough week and we get better with every game!
It's getting very hard to choose the player of the day, but this week is was the AMAZING ISABELLA - she was running faster, hitting harder and kept on playing even with a very painful tooth!!
Great work everyone - keep on working to break 'em!
Week 10
Another great weekend of games. Everyone has played really well. Kaleb's defence in goal has been outstanding. Stopping 3 goals in game one - helping keep the score to 2 - 1.
Game two saw us against one of the KIKA teams - they are really tough, but with each game we get closer to knocking them over. They were 1 nil up for a little while, then Kaleb stopped another goal - WITH HIS KNEE! Thomas had great runs, Zeb, Maddy, Finlay, Naimita and Bell were hitting and stealing the ball all the time. Bell, Naimita and Kaleb all came off for some ice and went straight back into the game - fantastic determination. Rain stopped the game - so it was decided it was a draw.
Our player of the day was the DEFENSIVE HERO Kaleb!
Week 10

Week 11
This was the last weekend of games before the holidays and another beautiful day to be on the turf.
There has been a little delay getting the Player of the Day photo up for this week. But it was very well deserved. Thomas was outstanding in both games. He has the non-stop attitude that leads the team to perform at their best. Great work Thomas, your a star!
Week 11
This is a special mention to our two Most Improved Players!
These two amazing players were absolutely outstanding today. Both of these girls attacked and ran with total commitment.
Well done to Belle and Naimita - you two are FANTASTIC! Keep it up girls!
Week 1 - Term 3
This week was 'change-over week'. We were up against the Ficino minis first. This was a fast game and it was very difficult to get a goal. BUT with the arrival of Kaleb and Naimita, the Volcano's turned up the heat and were up-stoppable! A great 2-0 win!
Game 2 saw us against the Western Wiggles, a tough team, but we were up to the challenge today. New tactics from the Legendary Saturday Coach, Daniel - meant that the Volcano's were just too tough for the Western Wiggles this time. A resounding 3-0 victory!
With everyone in the team playing the best we have seen - it was decided that 'Player of the day' would go to every member of the team. Well done everyone, fantastic effort.
Week 2, Term 3
Another great week with everyone playing at their best.
The Volcanos are continuing to get better and better and are looking at finishing the season on a real high note.
This weeks player of the day was Naimita. Naimita has shown great improvement and turned out her best performance of the season so far, FANTASTIC!
Looking forward to the last few weeks of games and seeing everyone there to watch. Thanks to all of the supporters again, you all make it so much better with you enthusiasm and loud cheering!
Week 3, Term 3
The Western Wiggles Marathon weekend!
Two games against the Western Wiggles this week and it was a great performance in both games.
Game 1, The Volcanos were on fire! Beating the Wiggles 4 - 0, with a special mention for Maddy who played for the Wiggles.
Game 2 saw a turn around with the Wiggles coming up trumps with a 4 - 0 win. A special thanks to Thomas who played amazingly for the Wiggles.
Our player of the day this week was Kaleb - outstanding performance in both games and some great goals and fantastic efforts stopping some Western Wiggles shots at goal. Great work Kaleb!
Term 3
Another great week, with everyone giving 100% to the game!
Everyone keeps getting better. Thomas was outstanding today and fully deserved to be the Player of the Day. Well done Thomas and the Volcano's.

Term 3 - Final Game
This was the final weekend of the season and it has been a great season! Player of the Day this week was Finlay, great effort!
This season has seen huge improvement from everyone in the team. Bell and Naimita are chasing and running with the ball. Maddie has a powerful hit and steals the ball when ever she can. Zeb, Finlay, Kaleb and Emilion all made great attacking and goal scoring opportunities. And Thomas has been a powerful leading force for the whole season.
A special thank you to Daniel (Saturday Coaching Specialist), Yvette (Top Level Management), Sheldon (On-the-spot Game Coach) and the best supporters ever - Pauline and Peter, Noah and Amanda, Sandip and Seema, Sheldon and Jo, Shelley and David and Michael and Bianca. It has been a great time for me coaching this season and I'm looking forward to seeing you all at the Prize Giving and playing next season.
