Corbans Art Trip

On the 23rd of May, Room 6 joined Room 5 on a fantastic trip to the Corbans Art Centre.

We went to meet Hamish and his team of talented artists who showed us how to create our very own clay tile.

First we had to learn how to use the tools to make out tile base. Some of us chose to make a square base and some used a circle. We even had a couple of people using a triangle base. It was tricky, but we got there.

Being that Minibeasts are our topic this term, we each selected a Minibeast that we liked and got down to creating it. There are worms, spiders, snalis, scorpions and many more!

We were really lucky to have Ange (Tayla's Mum), Janine (Ainsley's Mum), Sheree (Dallas' Mum), Janine (Mackenzie's Mum), Debbie (Jamie's Mum), Jenny (Yazmin's Mum), Ian and Evelyn (Erich's parents) and Blain (Malakye's Dad) along to help out - you were all fantastic and we were lucky to have you there!

We get our clay tiles back in four weeks - once they have dried and gone into the Kiln. You will be amazed at some of the fantastic art work we have created.
